The Monastery of Santa Maria of Pedralbes was founded in 1326 for the nuns of the Order of St Clare by Queen Elisenda de Montcada and King Jaume 11. The convent is entered through the elegant three storied Gothic cloister with its cypresses and palm trees. You can see St Michael`s Chapel and its 14th Century frescoes, the former pharmacy and cells where nuns prayed. There is also access to the refectory, infirmary and chapter house.
