Monte Santiago is a beautiful area of beech woods with a rocky ampitheatre where there is a three hundred metres high waterfall which is one of the most impressive in Europe. Birds such as griffon vulture, Egyptian vulture, golden eagle, short-toed eagle and peregrine falcon may be spotted here. There are also wolves, wild boar and deer. A viewpoint of the waterfall can be reached from Berberona. Near it is a prehistoric wolf trap.
