The Museo del Chocolate tells the story of the chocolate making industry which has flourished in Astorga since the 18th Century. One hundred years ago there were almost fifty manufacturers of this delicious product in the town. The museum was founded in 1994 by Lopez Garcia Diaz and exhibits include old machinery such as guillotines for cutting chocolate, lithographs, advertising and photographs. You also receive a sample of chocolate.
