The Museu de Zoologia occupies the Castell de Tres Dragons which was built as a cafe for the 1888 Universal Exhibition. The work of Domenech i Montaner, it was built in brick snd iron, and later became a workshop for the Modernist movement. It has the appearance of a fairytale castle. Since the late 1930s, the building has housed a museum and its collection consists mainly of specimens in jars and stuffed animals. There is also a whale room and a library of animal sounds.
