The Museo de Burgos is housed in the Casa de Miranda, a Renaissance mansion. It contains a fine collection of archaeological exhibits, including artefacts from the Roman era. There are dioramas of the excavations and of special interest are the Iron Age and Roman rooms. Next door in the Casa de Angulo are works of art from the Burgos region. Exhibits include stone carvings, an 11th Century Spanish-Moorish ivory casket, 15th Century paintings and contemporary art.
