The Museum of Religious Art houses pieces of art from the treasury of the Iglesia de Santa Maria and the Convent of San Buenaventura. The convent has been closed for almost a hundred years. Amongst the pieces on display is the Pendon, the Banner of Conquest, which is the flag believed to have been carried by Jean de Bethancourt when he landed on Fuerteventura Island. There is also a figure of St James.
