The Night of the Wine is a festival that was traditionally held in August when the local people said farewell to each other before going to their mountain farms to press grapes. They did not meet again until October when all the work was done. Since 1975 the festival has been organized by the council and it is held every year on the 15 August. In the morning is a demonstraton of the treading of grapes followed by lunch. Flamenco dancing and music continue until the early hours of the next day.
