These prehistoric caves are located in a large karstic complex that has many underground galleries. Inside the limestone caves are prehistoric drawings, some dating from the Palaeolithic age. There are also medieval silos. The cave system had over a dozen entrances and about fifty miles of underground passages. There are also stalagmite and stlactite formations, Since the 1960s visitors have been able to take a short tour of about 400 metres in the caves.
