The Oratory of San Felipe Neri is one of the finest baroque churches in Cadiz. The building has a splendid dome and inside is Murillo`s masterpiece, an Immaculate Conception. The church is a National Monument. On its facade is a commemorative plaque recording the centenary of the parliament held here in 1812. In this church, Spain`s first liberal constitution was declared at a time when the remainder of Spain was ruled by Napoleon`s brother Joseph Bonaparte.
