The Museo Municipal de Pintura contains a collection of 16th to 19th Century paintings that were bequeathed by Filomena del Rio. There are works by Vicente Lopez, Sorolla, Fortuny and Benlliure. On the second floor of the museum are works by contemporary painters of the late 19th to the early 20th Century. These include View of Zaragoza by Mazo and Forge of the Moor by Fortuny. The museum also holds a collection of fossils, including a giant tortoise from the tertiary period.
