Playa de las Cucharas is the largest beach at the new resort of Costa Teguise. Costa Teguise goes back only as far as 1977 when Cesar Manrique designed the first buildings. The resort attracts Spanish celebrities, including royalty. Las Cucharas is a long, sandy beach, popular with windsurfers. Other facilities at the resort include an aqua park, a marina and a golf course.
