Playa de Sotavento is a beautiful, wide, sandy beach that stretches for several miles south of Costa Calma. It lies on the eastern side of the windy Jandi Peninsula so has some protection from the prevailing westerly winds. This huge beach is composed of white sand and is extremely popular with windsurfers. They come from all over the planet to take part in the World Windsurfing Championships held here.
