Plaza Circular is a square in the modern area of Bilboa known as Ensanche. It is the city`s business district and has wide streets with office buildings, shops and bars. A statue of the founder of Bilboa, Don Diego Lopez de Haro, stands on a column in the centre of the square. It is the work of Benlliure who was born in Valencia in 1890. Near the square is the huge Banco de Bilboa y Vizcaya.
