Around the Plaza de la Constitucion in Arucas are interesting buildings including the 19th Century Town Hall. Nearby is a covered market and the municipal museum housing sculptures and paintings by local artists. Here you will find the leafy town park with its banana plants, palm trees, pines and other species. Beside the park is a splendid cupola topped building which is the headquarters of the local water board.
