The Plaza de Santa Maria is the heart of the old city of Caceres. As well as the church you can see the Mayoralgo Palace with its elegant windows and the Episcopal Palace. This building dates from the 13th Century and has a Renaissance facade. Don`t miss the decorated medallions of the Old and New Worlds on each side of the 16th Century doorway.
