The Plaza del Populo is a delightful, small square with a fountain of carved lions in the centre. In the square is a beautiful, old building adorned with the coat of arms of Carlos V. It was once a butchery. Nearby is the Casa del Populo (the tourist office) with decorative Plateresque windows. You can also see the Arco de Villalor, an arch dedicated to Carlos V and an old gate known as the Puerta de Jaen.
