The Plaza del Potro is an attractive square and it is named after the colt that adorns the fountain in the centre. In the past the square was a meeting place for traders and travellers and it is mentioned in Don Quixote by Cervantes, who is said to have stayed at the Posada del Potro nearby. This restored inn is now an art gallery and a cultural centre.
