Potes is a small, handsome town sitting below mountains in the Picos de Europa. Many of the cobbled strets have houses with balconies and there is a large tower called Torre del Infantado which was built in the 15th Century. It is now the Town Hall. Potes makes a good base for walking in the mountains and taking the cable car from Fuente De.
