The Provincial Museum of Archaeology and Fine Arts is the most important museum in Cadiz. On the ground floor is the archaeology section, and amongst its valuable treasures are two Phoenician sarcophagi carved in the human form that were found in Cadiz. Other interesting items include Phoenician jewellery and Roman artefacts. On the upper floor is the art gallery with works by Zurburan, Murillo and Rubens. The museum also houses a collection of old puppets.
