The Provincial Museum is housed in the 16th Century Deans Palace, a Renaissance mansion which was once the residence of the cathedral`s deans. The museum`s exhibits are a varied collection of objects from the province of Avila. Displays are of archaeological items, Romanesque statues, ceramics, agricultural tools, and traditional costumes and furniture from around Avila. Nearby is the Romanesque church of Santo Tome el Viejo.
