The Arehucas Distillery started out as a factory in the 19th Century to process the island`s sugar cane. Since the mid 20th Century it has produced Gran Canaria`s famous Arehucas Rum and thousands of litres are bottled each day. Visitors can take a tour of the museum and the bottling plant then sample the rum in the tasting room. Arehucas was the Guanche name for the town.
