St Anthony`s Market is one of the largest markets in Barcelona. It is located in a modernist wrought-iron construction, built in the late 19th Century, when this type of building was in vogue. During the week it is a fruit and vegetable market, but on Sunday mornings it becomes a specialist market with stalls full of antique leather bound books, contemporary novels, magazines, comics, stamps, maps and coins.
