San Juan Beach is considered the best of Alicante`s beaches. It lies to the north of the city in a holiday suburb, and can be reached by car, bus or tram. The beach is almost two miles long and is composed of fine, golden sand. It has good facilities, including access for the disabled, and a first aid post. Parasols can be hired and there are many restaurants and bars.
