The San Salvador Monastery was once one of the most important monasteries in this part of Spain. Some changes were made to the building in the 17th and 18th centuries. It now contains a museum and visitors can see displays of textiles and tapestries. There are also collections of paintings, sculpture and precious metalwork. Of special interest is the 12th Century Romanesque statue of Christ and also 14h Century paintings.
