The Plaza de Santa Maria is dominated by the town`s massive 13th Century cathedral. In the centre of the square is the Fuente de Santa Maria, a 16th Century fountain in the form of an arch created by the architect and sculptor Gines Martinez. Nearby is the Santuario Felipe Neri covered wirh elegant inscriptions made by students when they graduated. Behind the fountain is the Casa Consistoriales with its Gothic facade.
