The Science Museum is a modern museum, offering hands on experiments, which are popular with children. Optics and perception are explored, and in the large open plan Sala de la Materia displays and experiments investigate all forms of life and the universe. Of special interest are the Geological Wall and the Amazon Rain Forest with its tropical storms. There is also a planetarium. Special events for families and children are held at some weekends.
