Sierra de la Demando is a beautiful natural space enclosing the mountain ranges of Son Millan, Mencilla and Neila. There are also woods of beech, oak and Scots pine and in the area are deer, wolves, wild cats, otters and the Pyrenean desman. Birds that you might see include golden eagle, short-toed eagle, booted eagle, goshawk and honey buzzard. There are many interesting sites with fossilled trees and dinosaur remains. It is a great place for walking, mountaineering and cycling.
