Built in the early 14th Century, in the Mudejar style, this small one roomed synagogue is one of the very few remaining intact in Spain from that era. Inside are Mudejar stucco plant and star motifs, Hebrew inscriptions and a women`s gallery. The synagogue is in the old Jewish Quarter, a labyrinth of narrow streets. A statue of Maimonides, a 12th Century philosopher born in the area, can be seen in a nearby square.
