Cadiz is known for its many watchtowers. In the 18th Century the tallest was the Torre Tavira, and it was the official lookout post. The tower can be visited and from its terrace are superb, panoramic views of the city and beaches. In this baroque building are two exhibition halls and a camera obscura that projects live images of the city onto a screen. Guides conduct the camera obscura sessions, which last about 15 minutes.
