Terra Mitica is a specialised theme park, recreating Mediterranean civilizations through rides and shows. It is situated at the foot of the Sierra Cortina mountains and is served by buses from Benidorm. The thirty rides are divided between Rome, Iberia, Greece, Egypt and the Islands. Exciting rides are the Flight of the Phoenix, a free fall, and the Tizona, a looping coaster travelling at over 60mph. There are rides for small children such as swings and merry-go-rounds. Shows from all the cultures can be watched in the Roman ampitheatre.
