Located near the Town Hall, the El Campanario del Fadri is a 190 feet high octagonal bell tower, built between the 15th and 18th centuries. It is an important symbol of the city. The building is of both Gothic and Renaissance styles and the first section was built in 1457, but the whole structure was not completed until 1753. It has several floors, and has served as a prison and was, at one time, the bell ringer`s house.
