Plaza del Carboya is a small, pretty square in the old district of Sabugo. This was where the fishermen`s families lived and the square was its centre. From here the fishermen gathered and set off on their whaling and fishing expeditions. Overlooking the square is the Iglesia de Sabugo. In nearby Calle Bances Candamo, which leads back to the town, are many colourful buildings.
