Tordera is known for its Sunday Market which takes place in the old part of the town. There are many colouful stalls and the market attracts many people from the area as well as tourists. The town is also known for its bars and restaurants. In the town centre is the Church of Sant Esteve with its Romanesque bell tower. It has some Gothic features and there is a Baroque doorway in the facade. From Tordera fine forest walks can be taken to the Montnegre uplands.
