Vilassar de Dalt is a charming place with narrow, steep streets and a castle which has a tower dating back to the 12th Century. Enlarged in the 16th Century, it is now a historical and architectural monument. This medieval town boasts some prehistoric sites as well, including the megalithic tomb of Roca d`En Toni and the Cova d`En Pau burial chambers. There are also remains of an Inberian settlement.
