Villaricos is a tranquil, small resort lying at the mouth of the River Almanzora and it is backed by the stunning scenery of the Sierra Almagrera Mountains. The beach closest to the village is covered with pebbles but nearby is a sandy, sheltered beach. Villaricos is a fishing village and there are several beach bars and restaurants. A promenade running between the resort`s two harbours makes a popular evening stroll.
