The Arab Baths were built in the late 12th Century, long after the Moors had left Girona. They are modelled on earlier Roman and Muslim bathhouses. The baths contain a corridor and four rooms which are an apoditerium, a place for relaxing and changing with a central pool lit by a domed lantern, the frigidarium for cold baths, the tepidarium with warm water and the caldarium for hot baths.
