The Elche Archaeological and History Museum is located in the ancient Lord`s Fortress. It is a modern museum, and through a variety of resources explains the fascinating history of Elche, starting with the physical environment and the prehistoric era. The museum explores the history of the two locations of Elche, the Iberian and Roman Ilichi, and the city founded by the Arabs, as well as more recent history with its revolutions and wars. The towers of the fortress can also be visited, from where there are fine views of the palm groves and the city.
