Surrounding the old town of Dalt Vila, the city walls of Eivissa were built in the 16th Century during the reign of Felipe 11. They were designed by Italian architect Giovanni Battistra Calvi. It is worth following the line of the walls to the triangular Bastion of Santa Llucia, situated above the harbour. From here are great views of the houses and streets of Sa Penya, the old section of the town outside the walls, as well as the harbour.
