Fuengirola is well known for its five mile long, sandy beach which stretches from Torreblanca to Sohail Castle. Parasols and sun loungers can be hired as well as pedal boats and other equipment for water sports. There are beach bars and restaurants and a promenade. The one mile section known as Santa Amalia has a first aid post and children`s play area, whilst the beach near the castle is usually quietest, although still popular.
