Cala Saona is a lovely, turquoise bay lying a couple of miles south-west of Sant Francesc. Backed by red cliffs and trees, the cove is a popular place for a swim. It is also a good starting point for cliff walks. Going north you can reach Punta se Sa Gavina where there is a watchtower built in the 18th Century. Alternatively, good picnic places can be found by following the coastal path west through the pines.
