Calonge is a medieval village lying a few miles inland from the coast. Close to the main square is a Gothic castle with a courtyard where a music festival is held during the summer months. Another interesting building is the splendid Baroque Church of Sant Marti which has been built on the site of an earlier church. A market is held every Thursday morning in the village.
