Cap de Barbaria is the southern tip of Formentera Island and is located at the end of a road running south-west from Sant Francesc. It takes its name from the north African pirates who raided the island. At the end of the peninsula is a lighthouse above sheer cliffs. A few minutes walk leads to a well preserved 18th Century watchtower. Goats, green lizards and birds such as peregrine falcons and shearwaters may be seen.
