Castillo de Loarre is one of the most spectacular fortresses in northern Spain. The builder was Sancho Ramirez, the king of Aragon and Navarra, and he ruled in the 11th Century. Inside the curtain walls you can see the Romanesque Capilla Real. Other highlights are atmospheric dungeons, a ruined palace, turrets and the climb to the top of the Torre del Homenaje.
