Standing near the ruined castle in the upper town, the Cathedral is a prominent landmark on Ibiza Island. Dedicated to Mary of the Snows, the former parish church was given cathedral status in the 18th Century. It is built in the Gothic style and has a rectangular shape with an impressive tower. Inside are Baroque furnishings and there is a small Diocesan museum containing a collection of religious paintings, silver and gold plated altarpieces and other artefacts.
