The Church of San Pedro is the oldest church in Huelva and it was built on the site of a mosque. It is in the Mudejar style with a carved artesando ceiing and three naves. Pedro de Silva rebuilt the tower in the baroque style in the 18th Century and it has ceramic decorations. The area around the church is of historical interest and the nearby wooded hill was inhabited in Bronze Age and Roman times.
