The City History Museum is housed in the former 18th Century Capuchin Monestir de Sant Antoni. The museum covers the history of Girona, with displays ranging from Roman artefacts to models of battles and the city`s more recent developments, including the old street lights. There are also exhibits covering the tradition of the Sardona dance. Part of the convent`s cemetery is preserved, and you can see the recesses where the monks` bodies were left in a sitting position to decompose.
