The Convent of Santa Isabel La Real was founded by Isabel the Catholic on the remains of a Moorish palace. It was built in the early 16th Century and the church has a beautiful Mudejar ceiling above the nave. Formerly, the font formed part of an Islamic fountain. The church is mainly in the Gothic style, and has a fine altarpiece and works of art. Inside is the tomb of sculptor Bernando Francisco de Mora.
