Ecija History Museum is housed in an 18th Century mansion that was once owned by an important local family. The palace has been converted into a fine museum with many Roman finds, including several mosaics and sculptures. Some of the exhibits are from excavations that have taken place in the town whilst others have been donated. One room is devoted to olive oil production and exports in Roman times. Part of the film Carmen was filmed in the mansion in 2002.
