La Atalya was once a village composed entirely of cave dwellings. Nowadays there are plenty of buildings but some of them are merely extensions to the cave homes. The Ecomuseo Casa-Alfar Panchito is the workshop and home of a traditonal potter. This handmade pottery was originally made by the Guanches without usng a wheel. There are also ceramic workshops in the village.
