On the west coast of Fuerteventura Island is the picturesque harbour of El Cotillo with its fishing boats. It is surrounded by low black cliffs. In the harbour is a large rock that causes problems for fishermen going in and out of the cove in stormy weather. To the north is another small cove with cafes and an appealing sculpture of fishermen. This small resort also has sandy beaches and water sports.
